Something Sunday

Welcome to Something Sunday! I’ve been wanting to start a blog tradition that I haven’t seen anywhere else, and this idea struck me one day.

Every week on Something Sunday, I’ll discuss something old, something new, and something borrowed that I’ve used, experienced, or read this week. This could be a new place, doing something new, trying something new, looking at old pictures… really the possibilities are endless. I figured it’s a good way to look at the past, present, and… well, people’s generosity from week to week.

We’re skipping something blue. Because the color will get tedious after a while and any other connotation has the potential to be super depressing.

So! This past week:

Something Old:

She’s not old, but she is older than me. This is me with my key sister. We first met when I was participating in Continuous Open Bidding in Kappa, got into a discussion over yearbook, instantly bonded, and I hoped and prayed that she would be my key. Needless to say when I found out she was, I could not have been happier! I hadn’t seen her in months, as she’s currently splitting her time between law school in Tallahasee and a law internship in Orlando… oh, and working event parking with me when I’m doing my overtime. It was so good to see her!

This is so utterly unexciting, but I basically live on my phone and it either dies or come near to dying on me fairly often. So, since I’ve had the phone since Christmas, I finally invested in a car charger.

Something Borrowed:

Thank you once again, Orange County Library System. I flew through both Pretties and Specials by Scott Westerfeld this week. They were the 2nd and 3rd books in the Uglies series. If you like YA dystopian novels, I highly recommend them!

And that’s this week’s Something Sunday! What did you do this week?
